The current packages list one daily backup. Confirm retention, restore scope and availability for your selected service; maintain independent backups for important data.

Rescue access

Rescue mode is listed for troubleshooting and recovery. It is a maintenance tool, not a guarantee of recovering every damaged system or file.

Reinstallation

The packages list operating system reinstallation. Select a supported image and back up your data first: reinstalling can replace the existing system and its files.

BANDWIDTH / TRAFFIC

Traffic is not port speed.

Current OVH VPS descriptions list ports25 and465 as open. Delivery still depends on IP reputation, DNS configuration and recipient policies. Open ports do not guarantee inbox placement.

Does unlimited traffic mean unlimited speed?

No. Traffic allowance and public bandwidth are separate. Each plan lists its own bandwidth limit; review the selected plan and applicable service conditions.

Are backups enough on their own?

Can I choose Windows, Linux or an application?
